Gosse de Kort

Gosse de Kort

interdisciplinary artist / collaborator

Gosse de Kort (1978) studied Architecture at the TU Delft and ArtScience at the Royal Conservatory and Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague. His work takes place on the fringe of the architectural and the theatrical. He is an experience architect and spatial explorer. Starting from the believe that space is a mental construct, he develops spatiotemporal scenarios by combining the expressive potential of a space with the possibilities of composition in time. This results in both installations and performances. His installations often feature the audience as co-actor and offer the opportunity to explore the environment or situation in an articulated manner. His performance work has a more theatrical character, emphasizing the composed aspect of the audience’s experience. Besides his work as an autonomous artist, he teaches on different departments of both the Royal Academy and Royal Conservatory of The Hague.
